Honkey Tonk Man is AWESOME, I just got this site from a friend who is still into wrestling. I havent watched wrestling since I was a younger. The Greatest I-C Champ of all time, HTM I was there in Hershey, PA at the then HersheyPark Arena for a Saturday Night's Main Event taping I think in '88 when you waffled Randy Savage with the trademark guitar shot while the Hart Foundation held Savage. Ms. Elizabeth went back to the locker room and got that overly soaked in baby oil Egomaniac the Hulkster brother. Honky I loved your house promos always talking about the pink Cadillac, and when you would wrestle getting on the mic "Thank you very much your a beautiful audience." I actually tracked you down last year on a shoot interview hearing you talking about "not being a hard man to find, every morning on the back 9 at an AZ golf course." I sent you a fan letter to the golf course c/o Wayne Farris (HTM), and you sent me an autographed photo, thanks HTM! I wish wrestling was like it was when you had the I-C Title, no local house show promos, the skits are too one dimensional Vince Jr., has ruined the biz.

HTM is a class act. I am not saying this because I am sucking up for something. He entertained me as a child/adult as a performer and when I got a chance to meet him in his later years enjoying the convemtion circuit he was kind, considerate, honest and didn't make me buy something from his gimmick table unlike other performers. He is a man's man and I can see why Bischoff didn't like him, he just didn't go for the BS. Stay strong and healthy. Hope to see you back in Philadelphia sometime soon.

Just wanted to say"HI!" to the GREATEST IC CHAMPION of all time and to thank him for all of the many,many years of enjoyment he's provided me with! My seven year old son (even though he's only seen old wrestling matches) is a huge HTM fan and for Christmas wanted and got a WWE Classics Honky Tonk Man figure.I (or Santa) was very happy to get this for him as he has been in some huge battles and yes,still proudly holds the IC title!! This list doesn't include people like Chris Beniot, Mick Foley, and Dean Malenko who all quit WCW to go to the WWE for less money. HTM would have helped WCW by putting over younger stars like he did with the Warrior. The squash of the "Greatest Intercontinental Champion" made the Warrior a star despite having little or no ring skills. Instead, Eric let HTM go along with a lot of talent to keep around guys only concerned about themselves.
Today, the HTM is a star and WCW is barely a memory.

He was at Pro Wrestling World in Allentown,PA. for autograph signings and wrestled for Lehigh Valley Wrestling in 2009. 500 people came to see him. He treated everyone well including kelli and I. He was especially great to my 11 year old adopted niece Larissa. He talked with her signed her picture, belt and even her arm which had a guitar tatoo on it(not a real one). Many wrestling greats do these autograph signings. That doesn't make them a loser. What makes them a loser is if they charge too much or are nasty to the fans. I know that I will never meet Hogan or Flair and I'm fine with that. I refuse to pay $75-$125 dollars for ONE Autograph. I've met over 120 pro wrestlers ranging from the WWF/E,NWA,AWA,WCCW,WCW,ECW,UWF,TNA and the Independant leagues. The most that I ever paid for an autograph was $25.00. That was Edge and Goldust. That's fine. However, I won't be paying Linda Hogan's or Beth and Tiffany Flair's alimony checks!! What Hogan and Flair want for their autographs is unreasonable and not fan friendly. Really, bubba's idiot's call HTM a loser? At least he has a wife of over 20 years and seems to have a happy marrige. I can't say the same for hogan. I will say that linda is a goldigger and hulk was royally screwed!! Flair? Well....he is on his 4th wife. Enough said. Here is an stat that you should read very carefully,bubba's army. I have followed your career since the early 80's back when you wrestled for stampede wrestling. I remember attending a event in Penticton, BC and you were chasing the kiddes off the stage with a broom.. funny stuff.. I was one of those kiddies..
Anyway when you joined the WWF I was happy when you turned heel and became the HTM. You were great!
The last time I saw you wrestle was several years back in Kamloops when ECCW came to town.. You were older but awesome..
I am no longer a Hardcore WWF/E Fan anymore.. there product has gotten stale and boring, I have been watching a bit of TNA here and there, but all I see is a FAT Scott hall and a washed up shawn waltman, and Granpa Nash and realize you cannot bring back the best 2 years in wrestling 97/98.
Please go into the Hall of Fame where you belong.. Its time to retire the HTM and Intruduce the world to Wayne Ferris!
